Mica Olinghouse
A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Oral Roberts University, Mica Olinghouse obtained her B.S. in Mass Media Communications and Print Journalism with a double minor in Spanish and Literary Writing in 2003. Two years later, she graduated from Rhema Bible Training College with a certificate in Pastoral Ministry. In 2019-2020, she earned additional course certificates in online study including travel writing, print publishing, and digital communications. In 1999, she graduated from the Lycée International in Saint-Germain-En-Laye, France and holds the International Option Baccalaureate Diploma in Economics and Social Sciences with the honor of Mention Assez Bien. She speaks advanced French and basic Spanish.
Mica’s global background as a former missionary’s daughter and professional experience as an editor and business owner give her a broad range of skills that can easily be transferred to students through one-on-one tutoring or small group class sessions. Mica has a fun and inquisitive personality that children and teens can easily relate to, and she is passionate about inspiring others in their journey of learning more about the world around them. Her life-experience as a third-culture kid and world traveler adds a unique spice to her presentations and course discussions. A naturally gifted teacher, Mica has served in various tutoring and mentoring capacities including college French tutor, Dream Center English tutor, ORU Alumni Wingbacker, writing workshop leader, and volunteer pre-school teacher.
